There Was A Young Lady From Grove…

‘Wantage’ doesn’t rhyme too well when it is the subject of a limerick.  So instead,  I did the neighbouring village:-

The was a young lady from Grove,

Who fitted a large rocket-stove,

She thought it quite quaint,

To burn large pots of paint,

And her smoke coloured Wantage bright mauve.
